Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., May 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announced the following appointments by its subsidiary, Selective Insurance Company of America.

George Neale (Fort Mill, SC) to executive vice president, Chief Claims Officer. Mr. Neale joined Selective in April 2013. Prior to that, he served as executive vice president, chief claims officer for Commercial Insurance for Liberty Mutual. Prior to his 10-year career at Liberty Mutual, Mr. Neale held senior claims management roles at Kemper Corporation and Travelers Insurance. Mr. Neale earned his B.A. in Economics from Duke University in Durham, NC and attended the Wharton School for Insurance Executives at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.

Brian Sarisky (Sparta, NJ) to executive vice president, Head of Specialty Lines. Mr. Sarisky joined Selective in 1991 as a corporate trainee and has held a variety of field-based and corporate underwriting leadership positions, most recently serving as senior vice president, Chief Commercial Lines Underwriting Officer. Mr. Sarisky earned a B.A. in Business Management from Moravian College in Bethlehem, PA as well as an M.B.A from Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. He completed the Wharton School's Advanced Management Program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter and Certified Insurance Counselor designations.

Joseph Eppers (Sandy Hook, CT) to senior vice president, Chief Investment Officer. Mr. Eppers joined Selective in March 2015. Before coming to Selective, he was a director at BlackRock. Prior to that, he was Senior Vice President of Investments at Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. Mr. Eppers earned a B.S. in Economics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, IN and an M.B.A. in Finance from Butler University in Indianapolis, IN. He became a CFA Charterholder in 2003.

Brenda Hall (Matthews, NC) to senior vice president, Chief Strategic Operations Officer. Ms. Hall joined Selective in 2001 and has held various leadership positions throughout the organization, most recently serving as senior vice president, Director of Field Underwriting & Business Intelligence.  Ms. Hall has a B.A. in Business Administration from Mount Union College in Alliance, OH and an M.A. in International Business from Webster University in Leiden, The Netherlands. She also holds the Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager designations.
