Selective Insurance Group Announces Officer Appointments

BRANCHVILLE, N.J., June 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Selective Insurance Company of America, a subsidiary of Selective Insurance Group, Inc. (NASDAQ: SIGI), announced the following Officer appointments.

Teresa Caro to Senior Vice President, New Jersey Regional Manager. Ms. Caro joined Selective in 1978, and has held a number of key field underwriting positions within the organization, most recently serving as Vice President of Underwriting for Selective's New Jersey Region. Ms. Caro holds designations as a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), an Associate in Underwriting and a Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC). She is a member of the CPCU Society, the Society of CIC, the Independent Insurance Agents and Brokers of New Jersey Diversity Task Force and the Robbinsville Hamilton Rotary Club.

Anthony Harnett to Senior Vice President, Chief Accounting Officer. Mr. Harnett joined Selective in September 1999 as a senior accountant and has held various finance positions, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Corporate Controller. Mr. Harnett earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Albright College in Pennsylvania and earned the Certified Public Accounting designation in 1998. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants.

Yanina Montau-Hupka to Senior Vice President, Chief Risk Officer. Ms. Montau-Hupka joined Selective in 2000 as a senior reinsurance accountant. She has held a variety of leadership roles in Selective's Finance and Operations areas. Ms. Montau-Hupka earned a bachelor's degree in Literature from the State University of New York (SUNY) in New Paltz and a master's degree in Accountancy from the SUNY IT in Utica. In addition, she holds the Associate in Reinsurance and Associate in Insurance Accounting and Finance designations from the Insurance Institute of America.

Jeffrey Kamrowski to Senior Vice President, Chief Underwriting Officer, Commercial Lines. Mr. Kamrowski joined Selective in 1988 as a programming analyst and has held a variety of corporate leadership roles, most recently serving as Senior Vice President of Commercial Underwriting and Operations. He earned a bachelor's degree in Computer Information Science from Hartwick College in New York and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter designation.

James McLain to Senior Vice President, Chief Field Operations Officer. Mr. McLain joined Selective in 1996 as Vice President and Regional Manager of Selective's Pennsylvania Region and has held a variety of field-based and corporate leadership positions throughout the organization, most recently serving as Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of Selective's Southern Region. Mr. McLain earned a bachelor's degree in Economics from Davidson College in North Carolina and holds the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter, Associate in Risk Management and Associate in Insurance Management designations.

Ryan Miller to Senior Vice President, Regional Manager of Selective's Southern Region. Mr. Miller joined Selective in 1998 and has held a variety of key underwriting positions within Selective's Southern Region, most recently serving as Vice President, Field Operations Manager. Mr. Miller earned a bachelor's degree in Finance from Clemson University and holds the Certified Insurance Counselor and Certified Risk Manager designations.

Chalina Lourenco to Vice President, Human Resource Operations. Ms. Lourenco joined Selective in 2008 as a Human Resources Manager and has held a variety of leadership roles within the organization's Human Resource department, most recently serving as Compensation Director. She has a bachelor's degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University in New Jersey.

Joseph Patrickio to Vice President, Infrastructure Engineering. Mr. Patrickio joined Selective in February 2016. Prior to that, he served as Senior Director at Wipro. Mr. Patrickio earned an associate's degree from DeVry University in New Jersey and is ITIL v3 Foundation certified.

Jason Raider to Vice President, Underwriting. Mr. Raider joined Selective in 1993 and has held a variety of field underwriting positions, most recently serving as Underwriting Supervisor. He holds designations as an Associate in Underwriting and a Certified Insurance Counselor.

Thomas Salvia to Assistant Vice President, Assistant Treasurer. Mr. Salvia joined Selective in 2008 as an SEC Accounting Manager, and was later promoted to Treasury Director. Mr. Salvia earned a bachelor's degree in Accounting from Pennsylvania State University and is a Certified Public Accountant in New York State. He also holds the Certified Treasury Professional designation and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Association for Financial Professionals.

David Zweier to Assistant Vice President, Program Manager. Mr. Zweier joined Selective in April 2016. Prior to that, he served as Senior Project Manager at KPMG. Mr. Zweier earned his bachelor's and master's degrees of Engineering, as well as his Graduate Certificate in Project Management, from Stevens Institute of Technology in New Jersey.
