Selfhelp Community Services Licensed Home Care Services Agency Hosts Ribbon Cutting, with Elected Officials, VIPs, Honorees, as Home Care Needs and Job Opportunities Increase on Long Island
NEW YORK, June 2, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Today Selfhelp Community Services hosts a ribbon cutting at its new location for its Licensed Home Care Services Agency (498 Union Avenue; Westbury, NY) to serve Nassau County. Elected officials, VIPs and business and community leaders will participate in the open house, preview the new state-of-the-art training facility that will help meet increased demand for home care on Long Island and help train qualified individuals for new job opportunities as home health aides in the area.

Attendees will see a demo of the training facility; hear remarks from Selfhelp CEO Stuart C. Kaplan, health experts, Hempstead Town Supervisor Kate Murray, North Hempstead Legislator Siela A. Bynoe, the Honorable Judith Bosworth, Supervisor Town of North Hempstead, Councilwoman Viviana Russell of the Town of North Hempstead and hear inspirational stories from local residents including Holocaust survivor Johanna Friedl, 91.
Decade-of-service honors will be presented to select Selfhelp home health aides.
