Dr. Azziz will serve as Senior Vice President for Healthcare, Academic Medicine, and Higher Education.

He also served as a member of the Board of Trustees for the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools-Commission on Colleges; as Assistant Dean, Clinical and Translational Sciences at UCLA; and as Chair, FDA Advisory Board for Reproductive Health Drugs. He was appointed by Governor Nathan Deal to serve as a member of the Governor's Office Health Insurance Exchange Advisory Committee; and appointed by then Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as a member of the oversight committee for the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine. Dr. Azziz makes his home in Beverly Hills, California. He is married to Cindy and has three children.
