SEMICOA Announces First Power MOSFET Products for Industrial and Commercial Markets

COSTA MESA, Calif., March 14, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SEMICOA Corporation, a leading supplier of discrete semiconductors for high-reliability military, aerospace and commercial applications today announced its first power MOSFET products targeting industrial and commercial applications.  The launch of the commercial MOSFET business and roll out for the first MOSFET products marks a new period of growth for the company long-renowned for providing leading-edge, high reliability semiconductors.

SEMICOA's new MOSFETs feature a lower QG compared to competitors, resulting in low current drive requirements and hence a better overall switching performance.  A superior avalanche energy rating guarantees rugged device behavior under the most demanding conditions.  These benefits make the initial MOSFET product families a perfect fit for industrial applications, including Audio, DC-DC & AC-DC power supplies, energy conversion, motor control, and whenever higher device reliability is a requirement. With high voltage and high current devices on the product roadmap, SEMICOA is presently positioning a family of offerings with voltages ranging from 30 to 600 volts with up to 70 amps of continuous drain current.
