MIAMI, Aug. 2 /PRNewswire/ -- The Seminole Hard Rock Present The Summer Groove Hosted by Zo and D. Wade came to an end on Sunday, July 18, and was heralded as the most successful to-date.  The five-day fundraising extravaganza, hosted by Alonzo Mourning and Dwyane Wade, now in its 14th year, took place throughout South Florida, from July 14 – 18, 2010, with all proceeds raised from each event benefiting Alonzo Mourning Charities and Wade's World Foundation.

The Seminole Hard Rock Present The Summer Groove Hosted by Zo and D. Wade Press Conference served as the official kick-off and was held at The Overtown Youth Center (OYC) in Miami on Tuesday, July 13. Two children of OYC presented Mourning and Wade with a piece of artwork each, created especially to commemorate the South Florida icons.

At The Summer Groove Golf Classic Hosted by Coca Cola hundreds of South Florida's golf enthusiasts turned-out to endure Miami's combo of summer heat and rain on Wednesday, July 14th at The Doral Golf Resort & Spa.  

At The Summer Groove Youth Sports Conference and Summer Groove Youth Basketball Clinic Gatorade and Nike teamed-up to give dozens of 16-18 year-old athletes from Miami-Dade and Broward counties a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to experience one-on-one mentorship and basketball fundamentals on and off the court. The conference was held on Thursday, July 15th at Miami Jackson Senior High School while the Clinic took place at the Miramar Youth Enrichment Center the following day.

Alters Law Firm presented a night of stand-up comedy from some of the best television personalities in the comic world today at the Hard Rock Live on Friday, July 16th. Alters Law Firm Summer Groove Comedy Jam Hosted by Heineken featured appearances by Rickey Smiley, George Willborn and Damon Williams among others.

More than 400 kids were given a unique life coaching experience from a host of renowned sports and entertainment industry personalities at The Summer Groove Youth Empowerment Summit on Saturday, July 17th at the Signature Grand in Davie, Presented by The Michael Fux Foundation.

South Florida's leading socialites and supporters of Alonzo Mourning Charities and Wade's World Foundation gathered for a philanthropic evening of entertainment and goodwill at Publix Charities Summer Groove Benefit Gala, held on Saturday, July 17th at Hard Rock Live.

The Summer Groove Block Party and Carnival Cruise Lines Summer Groove All-Star Basketball Game was a dream-day for Basketball fans and more outside and inside the AmericanAirlines Arena on Sunday, July 18th. The Block Parts Hosted by Pepsi kept fans entertained outside while Dwyane Wade and other NBA stars graced the court inside.
