Seniorlink President and CEO Thomas Riley Named to Governor's Council to Address Aging in Massachusetts
The Commonwealth of Massachusetts' first advisory council on aging will guide municipal administration policy to achieve the goal of making the Commonwealth the most age-friendly state for people of all ages.
BOSTON, April 13, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Seniorlink, Inc., a company that provides collaborative care solutions, is pleased to announce that President and Chief Executive Officer Thomas Riley was named by Governor Charlie Baker to the state's first Governor's Council to Address Aging in Massachusetts.
Comprised of leaders from business, health care, technology and innovation, advocacy organizations, caregivers and municipalities, the Council will focus on developing a plan to improve public and private efforts to support healthy aging in Massachusetts, and achieve the goal of making the Commonwealth the most age-friendly state for people of all ages. Older adults are the largest and fastest-growing segment of the U.S. population, and they will make up 23% of the Massachusetts population by 2035.
The opportunity to work with Governor Baker's administration and the Council aligns directly with Riley's commitment to provide services and technology that enrich the lives of caregivers and their families. Under Riley's leadership, Seniorlink's unique in-home care management division, Caregiver Homes, was the first home- and community-based service in the U.S. to receive the National Committee for Quality Assurance's (NCQA) highest level of Accreditation for Case Management in the five states where the company operates today.
Building on that dedication to quality, Seniorlink is developing new ways to leverage technology solutions that improve patient-centered care by encouraging more collaboration among caregivers, care teams, and professional supports, and that result in better outcomes at a lower cost.

Other members include Massachusetts Secretary of Housing and Economic Development Jay Ash; Ger Brophy, Chief Technology Officer, Life Sciences, General Electric Healthcare; and Joseph F. Coughlin, Director, MIT AgeLab.
