Sensata Announces New Customer Win

ALMELO, Netherlands, March 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ --  Sensata Technologies Holding N.V. (NYSE: ST), a leading manufacturer of sensors and controls, today announced it will supply its new 4AC motor protector to Rechi Precision Co., Ltd. (TWSE: 4532), the major HVAC compressor manufacturer in Taiwan.

This important customer win for Sensata marks the second key compressor producer in China to select the 4AC. Rechi has recorded significant growth in its business over the past five years with sales tripling and annual revenue now approaching $1 billion.

Sensata has been producing motor protectors for more than 70 years.  The 4AC is the latest addition to this long-standing product family.  Launched last year for mass market HVAC applications, the 4AC boosts safety by delivering the additional functionality of short-circuit protection.  

Established in 1989 and headquartered in Taoyuan Hsien, Taiwan, Rechi Precision Co., Ltd. manufactures refrigerant compressors and pumps primarily for household air conditioners, water heaters, dehumidifiers and clothes dryers.  The company employs over 4,000 people and has several manufacturing facilities including HuiZhou, Dongguan, and Qingdao in mainland China.  Rechi distributes its products principally in Taiwan, the Americas and other Asian markets.
