Sensei Enterprises President Will Become 75th President of the Virginia State Bar
FAIRFAX, Va., Oct. 11, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- The Virginia State Bar has announced that Sharon D. Nelson, Esq., the President of Sensei Enterprises, Inc., will become the 75th President of the Virginia State Bar. Ms. Nelson, whose candidacy was unopposed, will be sworn in as President-Elect in June of 2012 and sworn in as President in June of 2013.
Ms. Nelson has held offices in many legal and non-legal organizations. She is a Past President of the Fairfax Bar Association, an officer in the Fairfax Law Foundation and serves on the Virginia State Bar's governing Council and its Executive Committee. Among many other community service activities, she led three Girl Scout troops over 17 years and currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Abused and Neglected Children.
Ms. Nelson commented, "It is a great honor to serve the Virginia State Bar as its President. I will walk in the footsteps of many extraordinary leaders. Some Presidents have had a particular focus or theme in their year of leadership.
