Sentinel Data Centers Announces Opening of NC-1 Data Center

DURHAM, N.C., Sept. 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Sentinel Data Centers today announced that it has completed construction and commissioning of the initial 50,000 square foot / 8 megawatt initial phase of its NC-1 Data Center in Durham, NC.  The 420,000 sf. facility is the region's first multi-tenant data center purpose-built for the downtime-sensitive enterprise.

The Sentinel NC-1 facility will ultimately yield approximately 200,000 square feet of net computer room space, divisible into hard-walled, turnkey suites of multiple sizes and configurations.  The facility will continue to advance the quality, flexibility, and energy efficiency standards that have come to differentiate Sentinel's model.  Benefits to Sentinel NC-1 occupants include the following:
