TAMPA, Fla., Feb. 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Seven Seas Water Corporation, a leading provider of large-scale water treatment services, today announced that Ark W. Pang has joined the company as Senior Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer and a member of the Executive Committee.

Mr. Pang, Managing Director and owner of Ark Infrastructure Solutions Inc., joins Seven Seas Water after his seven year role as Kharafi National Company's Infrastructure Project Development Division's Chief Development Officer. He was responsible for managing a Team of project developers during the implementation of selective BOT/BOO/PPP infrastructure projects in the Middle East and North Africa region. He was also the Corporate Business Development Division's Chief Development Officer managing the sales and marketing of all Kharafi National's business lines in the MENA Region, focusing on Kuwait, UAE, Oman, Egypt, Southern Iraq and Saudi Arabia.
Previously, he was Vice President and Global Water Scarcity Business Development Leader for GE Infrastructure Water & Process Technologies. Mr. Pang had a successful career working for 24 years with Ionics, Incorporated, before its sale to GE in 2005. He held various senior executive management roles with Ionics, most recently Vice President of Global Business Development.
With Ionics, Mr. Pang was one of the water industry's early leaders in promoting the Public-Private Partnership concept for desalination projects. He led the development of such milestone projects as the 375,000 m3/day (99 MGD) Sulaibiya Water Reclamation Project in Kuwait and the 200,000 m3/day (53 MGD) Hamma Seawater Desalination Project for the City of Algiers. Both projects were developed under long-term BOOT (Build-Own-Operate-Transfer) contracts. During his career, he served on the Board of Directors of the International Desalination Association and on the Boards of Ionics investment projects and subsidiaries in Japan, Italy, UK, Spain, China, Singapore and the United States.
