SGF GmbH Debuts at 2012 SAE World Congress With NVH Presentation
SGF-developed exhaust hanger concept that combines extreme durability, superior NVH characteristics, will be presented
WALDKRAIBURG, Germany, April 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- SGF GmbH (SGF), the market leader for torque transmission couplings, with 60 years of experience in cord and bonding technology development and manufacturing, announced today that it will make its inaugural appearance at the 2012 SAE World Congress with the presentation of a paper on its recently developed exhaust hanger technology. Ernst Hahn, president and CEO of SGF, made the announcement.
The presentation, entitled "Cord-reinforced Exhaust Hangers for optimizing NVH, durability and positioning in automotive applications" will take place at 10 am on Wednesday, April 25 in Room D3-26 at Cobo Center in Detroit, Mich., the location of the World Congress. Ernst Hahn, and Joachim Reihle, SGF global technical director, will represent SGF during the presentation.
The SGF-Cord-reinforced Composite Hanger design shows exceptionally good potential to be modified in its characteristics to fulfill NVH, durability and positioning requirements. SGF designed this exhaust hanger using its extensive technical know-how in developing and producing Cord-reinforced Composite rubber and silicone parts.
Extensive durability testing, along with NVH testing provided by a leading driveline engineering company, confirmed SGF's initial theory, which will be discussed during the presentation.
