Shearwater Health Names Steve Heintz Chief Operating Officer, Strengthens Global Leadership Team

Former Conduent and Accenture executive brings more than 25 years of operations and transformation experience as Shearwater Health enters its next phase of growth.

NASHVILLE, Tenn., Sept. 29, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Shearwater Health, the founder of Clinical Process Outsourcing (CPO®) and a global leader in clinician-led healthcare operations, today announced the appointment of Steve Heintz as chief operating officer, effective immediately. Heintz will lead the company's global operations as Shearwater continues to scale its clinician-led delivery model and expand the clinical capacity it provides to healthcare organizations worldwide.

As chief operating officer, Heintz will lead Shearwater's global operations as the company continues to scale its clinician-led services and expand the role of technology across the organization. He brings more than 25 years of experience leading global healthcare operations, with expertise spanning operational excellence, P&L management, strategic growth, and market expansion. His healthcare leadership experience includes his tenure at Accenture, where Heintz led global health operations, including its full portfolio of clinical BPO capabilities, with responsibility for operations, growth strategy, go-to-market execution, and strategic partnerships. Most recently, he served as COO of commercial operations at Conduent, where he led client service delivery and strategy across a global organization of more than 37,000 employees and managed a billion-dollar budget as the company expanded its technology-enabled offerings.
