Sheetz Announces 2012 Outstanding Supplier Partner Awards

ALTOONA, Pa., March 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sheetz, Inc. announced today the recipients of its 2012 Outstanding Supplier Partner Awards presented for superior service and dedication to advancing the success of the company and its stores. The awards were presented during the Sheetz Marketplace recognition dinner held Sunday, March 18, in Hershey, Pa.

Dan Troop and Gary Guthery of Dawn Food Products. This international company has been our supplier of fresh daily bakery and ready-to-eat items since 2008. They consistently provide outstanding support in new product development and in the operation of our bakery. Dawn Foods provides the ingredients that allowed us to ship more than 21 million donuts to our stores in 2012.

The Sheetz Outstanding Individual Performer Award was presented to:

Michael Berry of Brown Distribution in Richmond, Va. This award recognizes an individual supplier partner for their excellence in helping our store personnel maintain inventory and meet the expectations of our customers to have what they want, when they want it. Mr. Berry excels in providing outstanding customer service and Brown Distribution is a much appreciated partner in our "For the Kidz" holiday parties.

The Most Valuable Partner Award was presented to:

Chris Chromy and Tom Reese of ConAgra Snack Foods. This award recognized a company that provides outstanding service to our store managers, sales managers, company buyers and ultimately our customers. ConAgra has been a supplier partner of Sheetz since 2001, providing two of our most popular products, Slim Jims and David's Sunflower Seeds. During the last three years, ConAgra has helped us triple its product sales to our customers.
