Sherpa Coaching Launches Sixth Annual Executive Coaching Survey
CINCINNATI, Nov. 29, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The Sherpa Executive Coaching Survey is underway, now in its sixth year. This study has been praised as the longest running and most comprehensive research of its kind. Executive coaches, their clients and business leaders are invited to participate online at http://www.qsurvey.net/coach, now through December 15, 2010.
The study is sponsored by executive education programs at Texas Christian, Miami University and the University of Georgia, along with Sherpa Coaching of Cincinnati, Ohio.
Karl Corbett, Sherpa Managing Partner, stated: "Over the years, this survey has uncovered major trends in leadership development. First, the credibility of executive coaching has risen by ten percentage points in the last three years, as standards for training have risen. The number of people who say formal training for executive coaches is 'absolutely essential' has risen by eleven points in the same period. Most importantly, one in eight coaching hours has shifted from career saves to the proactive development of rising stars. That's a positive sign."
The Sherpa Executive Coaching Survey is hosted by IQS research in Louisville, Kentucky. Data collection ends December 15, 2010. The survey's final report will be available at no charge.
Those who want to participate can do so today at www.qsurvey.net/coach. Those who share their opinions get an exclusive first look at results prior to publication. The survey report will be available as a free download in January, at www.sherpacoaching.com
Sherpa Coaching's website also offers a free library with extensive video, talk radio and written material on leadership development.
Sherpa Coaching trains and certifies executive coaches at several major universities. Their book: "The Sherpa Guide: Process Driven Executive Coaching" (Cengage 2005), has been called 'the most detailed process in print' by Penn State Executive Programs. Sherpa Coaching's team of authors, educators and researchers are headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio.
