Sherry-Lehmann Announces Champagne Partnership Benefiting Alicia Keys' Keep a Child Alive

NEW YORK, Nov. 5, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sherry-Lehmann Wine & Spirits today announced an expansion in its long-standing, philanthropic relationship with charitable organization, Keep A Child Alive (KCA). In addition to its role as the official wine and spirits sponsor of tonight's 12^th Annual KCA Black Ball, Sherry-Lehmann is partnering with Champagne Thienot to offer a signature Black Ball Champagne, set to debut during this evening's event at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

The Champagne Thienot Black Ball bottle will be available for purchase at Sherry-Lehmann and sherry-lehmann.com and product will be available for public purchase starting on Monday, November 9^th. Each bottle will be priced at $150.00, with a portion of the proceeds directly benefiting KCA's work raising awareness and funds to aid children and families affected by HIV in Africa and India. The limited-offering Champagne will be served throughout the evening at the star-studded event.

Sherry-Lehmann will be on hand to pour premier wine and spirits including Champagne Thienot, Cloudy Bay, Belvedere Vodka, Glenmorangie Scotch and Bulldog Gin. Casa Dragones Tequila will also be poured throughout the event and will be featured in the Black Ball's signature cocktail.

In addition to providing the evening's wine and spirits, and serving as the retailer of the Black Ball Champagne, Sherry-Lehmann is joining forces with LOUIS XIII Cognac on a rare, truly unique auction item -  The LOUIS XIII Jeroboam decanter – a 3 liter format that is otherwise not available for sale in the U.S. This auction lot for one of the most luxurious spirits in the world is accompanied by an invitation from LOUIS XIII's cellar master, Baptiste Loiseau to visit Cognac in France. Each decanter of LOUIS XIII represents one century in a bottle, taking four generations of cellar masters over 100 years to craft. Last year's auction item, provided by LOUIS XIII and Sherry-Lehmann, helped raise $50,000 for KCA, and included a very limited decanter of LOUIS XIII Black Pearl Anniversary Edition cognac as well as an intimate dinner for 20 guests with wines and spirits hand-selected by Sherry-Lehmann experts.
