ShopWell's New Features Help Even More Shoppers Eat Healthily

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., July 24, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- YottaMark Inc. today announced that its ShopWell food nutrition app has been enhanced with a slate of exciting new features to help shoppers make healthy choices about the food they buy.  The app, which has already been downloaded by more than 1.7 million shoppers, provides personalized nutrition advice and product recommendations by scanning a UPC barcode from a product label. ShopWell's patented algorithms calculate food scores based on the user's age, gender and dietary goals, such as lowering blood pressure, as well as dietary preferences, such as a food allergy – and can recommend healthier 'trade ups'.

In this recent major upgrade, the app now features weekly healthy-eating advice from Registered Dietitians, personalized to the user's dietary goals.

Corn proteins can be found in a wide variety of packaged foods.  With ShopWell, individuals with a corn allergy or intolerance can shop more confidently and can use the app to find corn-free substitutes that fit their personal needs.
