Shorr Packaging Corp, a national and independent packaging supplier, announced the opening of their new distribution and warehouse facility in Dallas
DALLAS, Oct. 18, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Shorr Packaging Corp ("Shorr"), a national and independent packaging supplier, announced the opening of their new distribution and warehouse facility in Dallas. Centrally located near Highway 30 and Beltline Road, Shorr will have access to all major interstates and highways with capabilities to serve the entire Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, as well as the entire Southwestern Region of the United States. This new facility will house a more readily available supply of customer dedicated inventory and a larger selection of corrugated stock and regular consumables such as tape, stretch film, and poly products.
"This location will allow us to serve our existing and future customers in the south region by providing both local and regional warehousing," mentions Chad Ahrens, Sales Manager. "Not only will we be able to provide better product distribution, we will be able to provide better options for packaging equipment. Our Dallas demo room will provide customers the opportunity for a hands on experience with some of the latest packaging technologies."
Positioned in the Wildlife Commerce Park within Grand Prairie, Texas, the new 86,000 square-foot facility will provide Shorr its own location with over four times the amount of space previously utilized. With space to expand, the new location provides 32' clear ceilings, 22 dock doors and 40 trailer parking spots. "With our new Dallas facility, we've achieved another milestone in enhancing our distribution capabilities," says Darrin Peterson, Corporate Director of Operations.
This location marks the third new region for Shorr since 2014 and will create jobs in sales, customer service, purchasing, equipment service, corrugated designers, and warehouse fulfillment.
