Shorr Packaging Promotes Kevin Vrba to Chief Financial Officer

AURORA, Ill., Nov. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- As an employee-owned company, Shorr Packaging Corp., a leader in strategic packaging products, equipment, and solutions, is pleased to announce the promotion of Kevin Vrba to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Vrba began working at Shorr as the Controller in March 2014.  Prior to that, he held senior finance roles at Coopers Hawk, TopGolf, and Bar Louie, after spending 12 years in public accounting at Crowe Horwath.  He has led many efficient and effective financial teams and plans to leverage these past experiences in his new role assisting Shorr Packaging expand to a national footprint.

The promotion of Vrba to the executive leadership team builds additional strength and accountability for Shorr Packaging.  In addition to the day-to-day operations of leading the accounting and finance division, Vrba will further develop the company's financial strategies by targeting and assessing the company's risk, treasury, and operations management.  By improving the financial reporting and structure, he will provide the executive and operations leadership a better measurement of the company's performance and value.  

Kevin Vrba received his Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy and a Minor in Mathematics from Northern Illinois University. He is a CPA and CGMA and a member of the AICPA.  Kevin currently resides in Batavia with his wife and three children.  He is a baseball enthusiast and coaches his son's youth team.
