SAN FRANCISCO, Dec. 15, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Shreve & Co., San Francisco's oldest and most prestigious jeweler (operating for 165 years), has opened a new, permanent flagship store at 150 Post Street.
The new store is Shreve's first new, permanent location in 110 years and features the most dramatic staircase since Gone With The Wind. The free-floated, elongated semi-spiral staircase not only offers sweeping views of the store, but an up close look at another architectural highlight: a waterfall chandelier of lights and crystals suspended inside the arch of the staircase. This cascade of crystals and lights hang from the 30-foot ceiling and is a bespoke design by Yellow Goat.
The 15,000 square foot store offers two full floors of display space creating in-store boutiques, private viewing suites for personalized consultations and an entertainment room. In addition to Shreve's own signature jewelry collections, the flagship houses special in-store boutiques including Patek Philippe, Rolex, IWC, Harry Kotlar Diamonds, Mikimoto, Marco Bicego and more. The new space also features Shreve's own collection of exclusive pieces such as internally flawless diamonds, high complication watches, rare pearls and signed estate jewelry.
"At Shreve's we pride ourselves on our relationships with our customers, and we designed this new flagship store to provide them with the very best modern luxury shopping experience possible. We not only want the store to be beautiful and an appropriate showcase for our jewelry, we wanted it to offer modern amenities, an incredibly approachable environment and private space for one on one service," said Lane Schiffman, co-owner of Shreve & Co. "In addition, the new store has allowed us to bring all services on premise, from a dedicated watchmaker to an estate jewelry appraiser and consultant."
The Lochte Architectural Group worked closely with Shreve to create and design a state of the art luxury store that will provide customers with a new personalized shopping experience.
"We are thrilled with how the new store has turned out. It is even better than we had imagined and perfectly meets our goal to stay at the forefront of modern luxury, and capable of catering to all of our clients' needs," Schiffman continued.
Shreve & Co. is now open at 150 Post Street, just down the block from it's previous location; the legendary jewelry store celebrated with a grand opening event on December 14th.
