Sid Miller endorsed by Governor Rick Perry for AG Commissioner

AUSTIN, Texas, May 21, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Candidate for Ag Commissioner Sid Miller today announced that he has received the endorsement of Governor Rick Perry in the Republican run-off for Texas Agriculture Commissioner. In making his endorsement, Governor Perry said Miller is the best candidate to look out for Texas' farmers and ranchers.

Governor Perry has for the most part stayed out of political races in this campaign cycle and with the exception of endorsements for his three appointees to the Texas Supreme Court endorsed no statewide candidates in the primary election that was held on March 4th. In the Republican Primary run-off election, to be held on May 27th, Perry has endorsed no candidate other than Miller. 

Perry has even taken the unusual step of recording a special video in which he personally announces his endorsement of Miller to be the state's next Ag Chief.

Sid Miller, who holds a BS degree in Vocational Agriculture Education and is a former vocational agriculture teacher, served for six terms in the Texas House of Representatives where he was consistently named one of the top ten conservatives in the legislature.
