Silver Tusk Oil Company's Willard Unit #1H-2 Well Encounters Significant Oil and Gas Shows in the Buda Lime
DALLAS, May 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Silver Tusk Oil Company, LLC ("Silver Tusk") Managing Member, Paul Fenemore, is pleased to announce that the Willard Unit #1H-2 (Buda) well located in the Sand Lake Prospect, Burleson County, Texas has encountered significant oil and gas shows at an early stage during the drilling of the horizontal leg in the Buda Lime.
While conducting drilling operations in the Buda Lime Silver Tusk encountered a gas flare of 40 to 70 feet and oil was discharged into the pits at estimated maximum rate of up to 4 barrels per minute with no water. It is estimated that approximately 2 to 3 inches of oil was discharged into the pits in a very short period of time which is equivalent to around 200 to 300 barrels of oil.
Silver Tusk intends to continue drilling horizontally in the Buda Lime and further details will be announced in due course.
