SilverSky Targeted Attack Protection Solution Blocks Rare 'Unicorn' Bug Unidentified Since 1995
SilverSky Labs confirms customers are protected from exploitation
NEW YORK, Nov. 12, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- SilverSky, the leading independent provider of cloud-based security software and managed services, today announced that its Targeted Attack Protection (TAP) solution, by design, proactively catches all exploits designed to target the recently disclosed "Unicorn" Internet Explorer bug (CVE-2014-6332).

This vulnerability, dubbed Unicorn, allows for remote exploitation and 'drive-by' attacks on users of all versions of Internet Explorer, dating back as far as Windows 95. According to NIST, the vulnerability warranted a critical score of 9.3 in all versions of Windows. It was further described as "unicorn" like, due to its rare nature.
