Simon Sinek To Bring Inspiration And Innovation To Leaders In The Out-Of-School Time Field
PALM SPRINGS, Calif., Feb. 17, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Every year the BOOST (Best of Out-of-School Time) Conference promises to stay cutting-edge and on top of trends for the out-of-school time field by providing quality training and access to experts in innovation.
On April 30, the BOOST Conference will welcome Simon Sinek as a Keynote Speaker.
Sinek teaches leaders and organizations how to inspire people. With a bold goal to help build a world in which the vast majority of people go home everyday feeling fulfilled by their work, Sinek is leading a movement to inspire people to do the things that inspire them and inspire others.
With the second most watched talk on Ted.com, many organizations and companies have used his speeches as a guideline for curriculum and leadership training. At the BOOST Conference, Sinek will speak on Thursday, April 30.
"Simon Sinek is a transformational thinker who pushes us to recapture what it means to lead," After School Program Director at Sweetwater Union High School District Rodrigo Arancibia said. "His work in Start With Why and Leaders Eat Last have helped guide me and my team to transform our approach to after school programming. We believe in what we do. We fight crime and save lives. Simon Sinek has helped us remember that we are still superheroes and the work we do changes the world, one student at a time."
With workshops on global learning, coding for girls, LGBTQ student inclusion and more, the BOOST Conference aims to inspire change in the education field by providing fresh resources for the 21st century. New features of the conference include: BOOST Makers Stations, Creativity Corner, and Camp Inspire.
"This year's conference features new and forward-thinking workshops that are sure to spark a dialogue about ways to innovate, improve, and implement exciting and fresh ideas into out-of-school time programming," Program Coordinator Betsy Galchutt said. "We are thrilled to have Simon Sinek speak as our keynote, and we have no doubt that he will be an inspiring and motivating force to all of our attendees."
