Simon Upfill-Brown Joins Terrabon as Chief Operating Officer
HOUSTON, March 23 /PRNewswire/ -- Terrabon, Inc., a leader in waste-to-fuel conversion technology, announced today that Simon Upfill-Brown has joined the Company as Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Mr. Upfill-Brown joins Terrabon with more than 25 years of experience in executive leadership roles and a proven track record in the development of early-stage technology companies. In his role as COO, he will oversee the Company's operating teams and will play an integral part in driving development of Terrabon's innovative technologies.
Prior to joining the Company, Mr. Upfill-Brown served as Chief Executive Officer of GreenFuel Technologies Corporation in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a venture spun out of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which recycled flue gas CO2 into valuable ingredients for feed, food, fuel and chemical markets. Prior to joining GreenFuel Technologies, he served as President and CEO of Haltermann, Inc., a provider of custom chemical manufacturing services, which was purchased by The Dow Chemical Company in 2001, and continued to serve as General Manager of Dow Haltermann Custom Processing in Houston, Texas, until 2008. He also previously served as Vice President and General Manager of International Powder Coatings, Inc. and as Marketing Director for International Paint (USA) Inc.
Mr. Upfill-Brown holds a BS degree from Stellenbosch University in South Africa and a MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
