BALTIMORE, June 11, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that Robert Malandra has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Finance/Television and Tammy Dupuy and David Howitt have been promoted to Vice Presidents of Programming. Mr. Malandra most recently served as Vice President, Finance/Television and Ms. Dupuy and Mr. Howitt most recently served as Assistant Vice Presidents of Programming. The announcement was made by David Amy, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
In making the announcement, David Amy commented, "Over the last few years, Robert has successfully led and developed the Television Finance department by adding a talented team of individuals that have been vital to our success in growing the business through acquisitions. Robert has overseen the development of our business intelligence system, yield management tools and is currently working on other initiatives to grow the business, including the Audience Network and our partnership for advanced advertising with Visible World. We are pleased to acknowledge his hard work over the past nine years."
Commenting on Ms. Dupuy and Mr. Howitt's promotions, Mr. Amy added, "Dave and Tammy have a long history with the Company, most recently overseeing our program negotiations and scheduling. They have been successful in maximizing our ratings while minimizing our costs. We are fortunate to have them as part of our program and promotion organization."
Mr. Malandra has served as Vice President, Finance/Television since 2008 and has been with the company since 2006. Prior to joining Sinclair he worked for Madison Square Garden as an Executive Consultant covering their Radio City, MSG Network, and Arena properties. Prior to that, he was with Rainbow Media (now AMC Networks) where he served as Vice President Planning, Advertising for their network of regional sports channels. Prior to that, he was Vice President for Rainbow's PRISM/SportsChannel Philadelphia. He holds an MBA in Media Strategy from Manchester Business School in Manchester England.
Ms. Dupuy has been with Sinclair since 1998, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President of Programming since 2013, and prior to that as Regional Program Director. Prior to joining Sinclair in 1997, Ms. Dupuy was the Group Program Director for Communications Corporation of America. Prior to that, she was the Program Director and Manager at WGMB and WVLA in Baton Rouge, LA.
Mr. Howitt has been with Sinclair since 1994, most recently serving as Assistant Vice President of Programming since 2013, and prior to that as Regional Program Director since 1996. Prior to joining Sinclair, he worked as Director of Programming and Promotion at WUAB in Cleveland, OH. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/Television from Ashland University in Ohio.
