MADISON, Wis., Nov. 18, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Sinclair Broadcast Group, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBGI) announced that John DeSimone has been named General Manager of WMSN (FOX) in Madison, Wisconsin. The announcement was made by Steve Marks, Co-Chief Operating Officer of Sinclair's television group.
In making the announcement, Mr. Marks said, "John has a proven track record of inspiring his sales teams and providing them with the appropriate support and systems to be successful while building relationships with key clients which resulted in increased billings and revenue shares at the stations he was leading. We are excited to have him join the Sinclair team at WMSN."

Mr. DeSimone most recently held the position of Vice President, General Manager of National Sales at Azteca America since 2011. Prior to that, he served as the Vice President, Director of Sales for WXTV (Univision) and WFUT (TeleFutura), both in New York. From 2001 to 2005, he was the Vice President, National Sales at Univision and from 2000 to 2001 he was the Director, Business Development at WNJU (Telemundo) in New York. Mr. DeSimone has held various other sales positions including Director of Sales, Eastern Region at Univision; Senior Vice President, New Business at College Television Network; Vice President, Local Sales Manager at WNYW (FOX) in New York; Vice President of Sports Sales at Cable Networks, Inc. and Vice President, Group Sales Manager at Katz Television. Mr. DeSimone graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Business and Public Administration from City College of New York.
