Singita Launches True Mobile Tented Safari Experience

NEW YORK, June 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Singita Game Reserves has launched Singita Explore, a new travel concept that takes guests on a private mobile safari to Africa's most remote and romantic wilderness sites. Custom-designed to meet discerning travelers demands for privacy, exclusivity and closeness to nature it is being introduced in East Africa on Singita Grumeti Reserves' 340,000 acres, situated along the Western corridor of Tanzania's Serengeti.

A true mobile camp, Singita Explore, is a unique, safari experience unlike any other. It is booked on an exclusive-use basis for between 2 and 12 guests only. Singita Explore is an ideal addition to any East African safari itinerary and combines perfectly with stays at Singita Grumeti Reserves' three lodges: Singita Faru Faru, Singita Sabora Tented Camp and Singita Sasakwa.

The mobile camp is designed for minimal energy consumption with little environmental impact. Designed by Cecile & Boyd's around a theme that is modern, robust and stylish, the furnishings are both luxurious and uncomplicated.

Unlike other camps, which are seasonal and semi-permanent, Singita Explore is disassembled on demand, and moved to different locations in accordance to nature, rainfall patterns, vegetation, and game movements. The mobile safari camp is fully staffed with a private guide and game viewing vehicle, chef and camp host.

The new Singita Explore brand may in the future extend into some of the other pristine wilderness reserves where Singita holds exclusive concessions.
