SingleHop, Inc. Joins United Nations Global Compact

CHICAGO, Jan. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Chicago-based SingleHop, Inc., a provider of dedicated and complex hosting solutions, today announced that they are officially signatories to the United Nations Global Compact. Founded by the UN in 2000, the Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.

SingleHop has a strong history of support in all four of the Global Compact's focus areas. In terms of environmental conservation, SingleHop has led the worldwide hosting industry by introducing and popularizing the use of energy-efficient processors which provide 70% greater energy conservation over similar though lower-priced machines. For human rights protection, SingleHop holds the unique capability, as a web host, to actively monitor and eliminate websites that promote and exploit individuals.
