
LOS ANGELES, July 26, 2013 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Continuing their commitment to the Southern California community, the Greater Los Angeles Chapter of the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) generously donated $10,000 to Sharefest Community Development during their 43rd Annual Golf Classic.

Sharefest Community Development is a public benefit 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 2006. Sharefest's vision is to create an imprint of lasting positive change in the youth of Los Angeles County through mentoring, fostering volunteerism in the community through service projects and establishing working coalitions comprised of city leaders, schools, businesses and the faith sector.

SIOR's golf tournament proceeds will support Sharefest's Youth Development Academy (YDA), which has mentored over 1,200 students. YDA improves educational outcomes for underserved youths by pairing existing community assets with middle and high school students who demonstrate the greatest need.
