Sirote & Permutt Recognized For Public/Media Relations Expertise At Regional Level
Legal Marketing Association's Southeastern Chapter selects law firm as recipient of 2012 Your Honor Award
BIRMINGHAM, Ala., Nov. 20, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- The Southeastern Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association (LMASE) has announced the winners of its annual 2012 Your Honor Awards, honoring Sirote & Permutt's marketing and communications team with a first place award in the Public/Media Relations category. As the only awards program specific to the legal profession, the LMASE Your Honor Awards recognize creativity, execution, achievement and overall excellence in legal marketing by showcasing the leading designs and creative strategies from law firms throughout the Southeast.
LMASE, which covers 10 states, received more submissions this year than any previous year. Sirote's award-winning entry, "Sirote & Permutt Honored by Ronald McDonald House," was the only campaign implemented in the state of Alabama, and it outlined the law firm's public relations efforts in working with the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Alabama (RMHCA) to promote knowledge and awareness of the charity and its largest annual fundraiser, the Heart of the House Gala. As the "2012 Heart of House Award" recipient, Sirote & Permutt was honored at this event for its annual support of RMHCA and for positively affecting the areas of health, education and the arts in the community, which the law firm does through its recently launched initiative, Sirote Supports.
Sirote & Permutt's marketing and business development department worked with its public relations firm to garner media coverage during the campaign. Public relations efforts resulted in seven news articles placed in print and online media outlets and five television morning show interviews on two stations broadcasting to 21 counties in three Southeastern states. Four radio interviews also aired on 65 radio stations throughout Alabama reaching an audience of 2.3 million people and approximately 50 percent of the state's population
The Your Honor Awards judges commented that it was refreshing to see that Sirote places as much emphasis and investment on maximizing a community angle and splitting visibility with the community organization, as it would a straight revenue-generating activity. They also added that Sirote & Permutt's campaign, which was accomplished with a short turnaround time and no additional expenses, included a clearly defined objective and well documented results that were tracked across multiple media outlets.
