Six Penn Kitchen Opens Its Doors to Accommodate Game Day Crowd
Downtown Eatery Opens on Sunday for its First Ever Tailgate Party
PITTSBURGH, Jan. 19, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Six Penn Kitchen (www.sixpennkitchen.com) is opening its doors to hungry fans on Sunday, January 23, just prior to the AFC Championship game. The restaurant is hosting its first-ever tailgate party, complete with a special tailgate menu for the occasion.
"There's nothing quite like the atmosphere of playoff football in Pittsburgh. We're a part of the downtown community, so we wanted to join in the fun and excitement of the AFC Championship game," says Chris Baierbach, General Manager. "We've carefully crafted a menu that features our take on tailgate classics. It's the perfect way to get ready for the big game."
Six Penn will begin serving its tailgate menu at 3:30 p.m., and will continue until 6 p.m. The menu features limited-time menu additions, such as:
- "The Big Ben," a Kobe beef hot dog topped with chicken chili, cheese and coleslaw
- "Suisham Finisher," grilled apple fennel sausage with sauteed peppers and onions on a deep friend hoagie roll
- "The Flying Hawaiian," pulled pork with fried onions and bananas topped with jerk aioli on a corn roll
Sunday's extended hours of operation include: Brunch from 10:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.; Bar only from 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. and Tailgate Party from 3:30 p.m. – 6 p.m. Six Penn Kitchen will resume its regularly scheduled operating hours at 11 a.m. on Monday.
