Every year, thousands of candidates are nominated by their peers for this award. Each nominee is then evaluated by independent judges who investigate their backgrounds and qualifications. Only the top five percent of attorneys who have practiced law for at least 10 years are included in the list of Super Lawyers, and only the top 2.5 percent of attorneys who have practiced law for less than 10 years or are under the age of 40 are included in the list of Super Lawyers Rising Stars.
