SJ City Council Candidate Advocates Discrimination Against "Suspected" LGBTQ People Says BAYMEC
Steve Brown's divisive comments to be condemned
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 9, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- San Jose City Council Candidate Steve Brown told Metro Newspaper's San Jose Inside blog the following: "…Brown seems uncomfortably sure of his positions, including the stance that business owners should have the right to refuse service to customers they suspect are LGBTQ."
Leaders from the LGBT community will gather to condemn Mr. Brown's divisive beliefs and call upon those individuals and organizations that have endorsed Mr. Brown to rescind their endorsement. These include; Former Mayor Chuck Reed, Santa Clara County Republican Party, San Jose/Silicon Valley Chamber of Commerce, Santa Clara County Association of Realtors, San Jose City Councilmember Johnny Khamis, and Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility among others.
