Emirates selects leading UK credit card provider MBNA as partner of choice; signing marks Emirates Skywards' first cobrand credit card collaboration in the UK
Emirates' award-winning frequent flyer programme, Emirates Skywards, and MBNA have signed a new UK credit card collaboration; and announce the launch of two new credit card accounts for current and new Emirates Skywards members and UK consumers.

The 'Emirates Skywards Credit Card Account' and 'Emirates Skywards Elite Credit Card Account' allow customers the choice between a standard no annual fee card and an elite version with fee. Both cards are available to apply for now at http://www.emirates.com/uk.
Both accounts come with two credit cards, one American Express® card and one Visa card, and enable eligible new customers to boost the earning power of their spending by building Skywards Miles. The accounts also come with a higher earn rate on purchases from Emirates, 10 percent off holidays booked through Emirates Tours as well as bonus miles for the first purchase made during the first 90 days of opening the account. Holders of the Elite card are entitled to additional benefits - ranging from a complementary companion reward ticket, to discounts on flights, miles purchases, Emirates Business Class check in at UK airports when flying in Economy Class and more (conditions apply, see table below).
MBNA's Business Development and Marketing executive, Michael Donald, and Emirates Skywards Senior Vice President, Brian LaBelle, took to Emirates Air Line in London, the UK's first urban cable car, to launch the new collaboration (pictured).
