SkyWest, Inc. Reports Combined December Traffic for SkyWest Airlines and Atlantic Southeast Airlines

ST. GEORGE, Utah, Jan. 11 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SkyWest, Inc. (Nasdaq: SKYW) reported a 5.4 percent increase in revenue passenger miles (RPMs) for December, while available seat miles (ASMs) increased 6.5 percent compared to the same period last year. The combined airlines generated 1.42 billion RPMs for the month, while ASMs increased to 1.84 billion. Load factor was down 0.8 percentage points to 77.4 percent compared to 78.2 percent for the same period last year. Passenger boardings for December totaled 2,815,678 a 6.9 percent increase from December 2008.

SkyWest Airlines, based in St. George, Utah, and Atlantic Southeast Airlines, Inc. ("ASA"), based in Atlanta, Georgia are wholly owned subsidiaries of SkyWest, Inc. SkyWest Airlines operates as United Express, Delta Connection and Midwest Connect carriers under contractual agreements with United Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Midwest Airlines. The SkyWest Airlines contractual arrangement with Midwest Airlines expired on December 31, 2009. SkyWest Airlines also operates flights for AirTran Airways under a marketing agreement.
