SL Industries Wins 'Top Supplier of the Year' Award From One of the Largest Global Providers of Medical Equipment

MT. LAUREL, N.J., Nov. 11, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- SL Industries, Inc. (NYSE Amex: SLI), is pleased to announce it has received from one of the leading and largest global medical equipment suppliers in the world their highest award.

At the customer's recent supplier day with approximately 150 Strategic Supplier Companies attending out of their thousands of total suppliers, only 3 awards were given, with SL Industries receiving the award as Top Supplier for 2010.  The contributing factors in winning the award were:

• SL Industries received one of the highest supplier Global Supplier Rating System scorecards for supplier metrics that included Cost, Responsiveness, Innovation, Delivery, and Quality.
• SL Power Electronics (SLPE) delivering more than 100,000 power supplies within an extremely short lead time for a new home healthcare program, enabling the customer to quickly introduce a new product and gain market share.
• TEAL Electronics, a division of SL Industries, moving product manufacturing to China for improved local support and working closely in a joint development program for the next generation of smart power controllers.
