Slawson Cunningham Whalen & Gaspari Receive Jury Verdict of Nearly $3.6 Million in Cycling Collision Personal Injury Case
PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla., Feb. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- A Palm Beach County jury returned a verdict of $3,577,378 on February 12th in the case of John and Jo-Ann Gelland v. Christina Bill.
Counsel for the plaintiffs, Jeanmarie Whalen and Fred Cunningham of Slawson Cunningham Whalen & Gaspari, obtained the verdict after an eight day trial and lengthy pre-trial litigation. The defendant denied fault for the crash which occurred on SR A1A in Jupiter, as well as for the extent of injuries and damages sustained by the plaintiff, John Gelland. As a result of the collision, Mr. Gelland suffered serious traumatic injuries including fractures of the right upper extremity as well as nerve damage.
