(ECI) began business in 1985 with 4 employees located in one small office in Billings, Montana.  Three decades later, this utility-scale electrical consulting business has grown exponentially to nearly 500 employees providing services from 13 offices across the nation.  The once small scale staff that provided electrical engineering design services to rural electric cooperatives for transmission or substation facilities now supplies comprehensive engineering design, procurement and construction management for energy infrastructure nationwide.  Over the course of three decades, ECI's services have crossed the country including renewable wind and solar projects; distribution, transmission and substation development for over 100 of the nation's utilities.  ECI has provided emergency engineering response leading recovery efforts to restore power in storm-stricken areas of the United States and has played a key role in the advancement of renewable energy projects nationwide. 

ECI employs some of the top engineering design talent in the nation.  With Corporate Headquarters in Billings, Montana it offers opportunities for staff to participate in world-class projects including First Wind's Kahuku Wind Farm in Honolulu, HI; Western Area Power Administration's Path 15 Project in CA; transmission infrastructure for American Transmission Company in WI or substation construction for American Electric Power in Texas.  ECI's projects include underground and overhead transmission for many utilities in the northeast within New York, New Jersey and extending down the east coast to Florida.
