NEWPORT BEACH, Calif., June 16, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Smart-Tek Solutions, Inc., (Pink Sheets: STTN) has secured in $5.5 million in funding to acquire businesses that will enhance the company's net worth and shareholder value. The funding agreement consists of a $500,000 Convertible Debenture with a $5,000,000 Equity Investment Agreement.
Brian Bonar, the company's CEO, said, "With the Equity Investment Agreement in place we will not only be growing our business organically, but through acquiring strategic businesses that will take our company to the next level."
Net revenue for Smart-Tek Automated Services, Inc., for the months of April and May 2011 is approximately $3,418,000, which represents a 21 percent increase over the net revenue for the first two months of the March 2011 quarter. Bonar said the company anticipates net revenues to continue growing organically throughout the year.
