Smile Generation® Dentists Travel to Fiji to Serve Those in Need

IRVINE, Calif., July 28, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- On July 14, seven members of the Smile Generation headed out to the Mission at Natuvu Creek on the island of Vanua Levu, Fiji's second largest island to provide free dental services to those in need.  The Mission at Natuvu Creek was built to serve the rural people of Fiji.

With four dentists and three staff members the team was able to see 325 patients focusing mostly on extractions, but also quite a few restorations. "Our number one priority was to help those in severe pain, so we treated them first and then we were able to provide fillings to the other patients in need," said Dr. Ashleigh Harrison from Cherry Creek Modern Dentistry in Glendale, CO. "The patients were so gracious and so appreciative, that it was such a pleasure to serve them."

The group included Dr. Kenneth Burson from Falcon Park Dental Group in Highlands Ranch, CO, Kelsey Majors from Arvada Modern Dentistry in Arvada, CO, Dr. Ashleigh Harrison from Cherry Creek Modern Dentistry in Glendale, CO and Dr. Tanisha Jackson from Redlands Dental Group in Redlands CA.  Accompanying the dentists were Pacific Dental Services Arizona Regional Manager Samantha Adams, Director of HR Tim Bair, and We Serve Manager Kyle Guerin.
