Smith Dairy Trucking Celebrates Groundbreaking Ceremony for Compressed Natural Gas Fueling Island

Groundbreaking ceremony for Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Fueling Island -- the first of its kind in the area. Targeted completion: late summer.

Speakers include Steve Schmid, president, Smith Dairy Products Company; Chuck Diehl, trucking fleet manager, Smith Dairy; and Bill McGlinchey of the non-profit agency AFV (Alternative Fuels Vehicles) International. Orrville government representatives will also attend.

WHY:
Smith Dairy Products Company hopes to encourage owners and operators of other vehicle fleets in the Orrville area to join the alternative fuel movement.

A morning of educational workshops and presentations on compressed natural gas, sponsored by Smith Dairy and AFV International, precedes the groundbreaking.
