Smoothie King Opens Doors To First Singapore Location

NEW ORLEANS, Dec. 12, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Smoothie King Franchises, Inc., the premier smoothie and nutritional lifestyle center, announced today its grand opening in Singapore—the first international Smoothie King location to open under recently appointed Global CEO, Wan Kim.  Part of the company's aggressive approach to open 1,000 new domestic and international locations by 2017, the Singapore store will be one of the few hundred company stores, operated by SK USA, Inc.

Located at The Centrepoint—a popular shopping mall in Singapore—the new store will host a modern cafe style concept, modeled after the over 150 Smoothie King's currently operating in Korea.  This will be the first of several international locations to open in Singapore, Southeast Asia and China over the next three years.

To celebrate Smoothie King's entry to Singapore, the company has launched two competitions for locals with prizes including a trip to Korea and a smoothie party for students.  The store will open to the public today and will host a celebration with free samples—Kim will be in attendance.
