SNW and SNW Asset Management New Hires

SEATTLE, Oct. 12 /PRNewswire/ -- Seattle-Northwest Securities Corporation (SNW) today announced the recent hiring of two employees; one in the parent company, the other in SNW Asset Management, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SNW.

Tim Benzel joins SNW Asset Management as an Assistant Portfolio Manager.  His investment experience includes the analysis and trading of a variety of fixed-income securities including corporate, municipal, treasury, agency and mortgage backed securities.  Prior to joining SNW Asset Management, Mr. Benzel's most recent experience was as an assistant fixed-income portfolio manager for Neuberer Berman Private Asset Management in New York City, where his responsibilities included research and ongoing due diligence of individual credits.  Mr. Benzel has earned the right to use the Chartered Financial Analyst designation and is a graduate of Linfield College.

Jacob Brownfield, Accounting Associate, comes to SNW with extensive experience planning, supervising, and performing audits of companies in the financial services industry and has been directly involved in numerous SEC filings.  Prior to joining SNW, Mr. Brownfield was a senior associate for KPMG in Seattle, Washington.  He has performed in-depth analysis of intricate accounting issues pertaining to all areas of financial statements.

Mr. Brownfield graduated from the University of Washington in 2007 with a BA in Business Administration and in 2008 with a Masters of Professional Accounting.  While a student at the UW, he also served a three-year term on the Board of Directors for the University Book Store. Mr. Brownfield is a licensed CPA.
