According to Guangju Chen, director of the CEICF executive committee and vice president of Beijing Normal University, CEICF will discover, select, and exhibit outstanding education innovations, both home and abroad. It will provide diversified innovative products to meet the needs of regional and provincial education departments, hundreds of thousands of secondary and primary schools, and thousands of teachers, students and parents. Focusing on promoting education and improving education quality, educators, entrepreneurs and charitable enthusiasts, both home and abroad, will be invited to conduct international dialogue and discussion, sharing education innovations in China and around the world. The CEICF will center on education exhibitions, new charitable donation programs, thematic forums and salons, annual blue book and award ceremonies, and other programs. CEICF strives for utilizing 30 billion RMB charitable donations with Chinese education innovations, promoting various governments to make the effective procurements and incubation, and wide application of education innovations.
Jian Liu, deputy director of CEICF executive committee and president of National Education Innovation Research Institute, said that the collection of education innovations will follow a rigorous set of selection criteria. The candidates must follow the basic education and student development laws, effectively solve real world problems facing China's education, and produce applicable education products. The kind of education innovations widely applicable to schools, education administrators, teachers, students or parents are always warmly welcomed to all of us.
Yudong Liang, deputy director of CEICF executive committee and president of CSRDC, expressed that the CEICF will be unlike typical education fairs because CEICF will focus on practicing the concept of charity and developing education innovation programs that can integrate with charitable donations. CEICF aims to absorb charitable funds for education innovation, form the new mechanisms for education development, and build cross-boundary cooperative platforms, including enterprises, foundations, schools governments, and education NGOs, all to discover key pathways to solve funding problems for education innovation in China.
Emily Hu, key facilitator of International Affairs Committee of CEICF and Executive Officer of Chinese Affairs Center of NASSP, detailed that the CEICF organizing committee will work with NASSP to set up the international selection committee at Chinese Affair Center to coordinate education institutes and organizations' work in the US and other countries. The Committee will collect education achievements and report them to CEICF's organizing committee. The CEICF will feature an area especially designed for international education to select 100 notable K-12 education innovations, including education science and technology, education information application, principal leadership development, teacher training models, student extracurricular activities, special professional curricula, school management, education standards and evaluation systems, and school foundations. CEICF will be the first unveiling in China for many of these innovations and presents an exciting opportunities for creating deeper relationships between outstanding overseas education innovations and Chinese secondary and primary schools.
