Social Interest Solutions Co-Director Claudia Page Announces Departure
Page to stay on through June 2013 to support transition
SACRAMENTO, Calif., Dec. 6, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- After helping to launch and build Social Interest Solutions (SIS), co-founder Claudia Page today announced that she will leave the organization in June 2013. Her colleague, Bobbie Wilbur, will continue in her role leading the organization's technology development to support SIS' current and future customers as Affordable Care Act implementation (ACA) efforts proceed.
"Claudia's commitment and leadership have been tremendous, and she will be sorely missed," said Robert Phillips, SIS board chair. "She has shaped the eligibility and enrollment technology and health policy arenas for the better, and left an imprint on SIS that will carry the organization well into its future. The board recognizes the significance of this leadership transition and is committed to finding outstanding talent to build upon and expand the extraordinary work of SIS."
Founded in 2006, SIS has grown rapidly and shaped how low-income people connect to health and human services benefits through its innovative use of technology and policy reform efforts. Its enrollment systems have screened more than 13 million individuals in five states, connecting them to programs such as Medicaid, Food Stamps and other important services. Under the guidance of its board of directors, SIS has become a recognized leader in the policy and technology arenas, having contributed to state and national efforts to transform how government and the public use online services to streamline enrollment for a variety of programs.
Page was instrumental in crafting portions of the ACA, which establish enrollment protocols and standards. She is frequently called upon by government entities, healthcare providers and policy makers confronting some of the most technical challenges facing the industry today. Her announcement dovetails with a strategic planning effort led by the SIS board and involving customers, employees and industry leaders. Page will remain with SIS thru June 15, 2013, working with Wilbur to manage the leadership transition.
"I've been part of SIS from the beginning," said Page. "We could never have accomplished what we have without our amazing team and dedicated colleagues who share the SIS vision of modernizing enrollment -- especially for underserved individuals for whom the benefits of technology are slow to reach. But, it's personally time for a change and I felt it best to share this news early so customers and staff are assured the transition will be seamless. SIS is well positioned to successfully deliver upon its mission and I am confident it will do so."
