Social Shopping Network Asaan Launches in UAE and Saudi Arabia

Asaan platform allows users to get cashback on shopping and become influencers and get paid for it
A year after its launch, social shopping platform, Asaan is entering UAE and Saudi Arabia. Asaan allows users to save when they shop. It also pays them when their shopping recommendations are used by their friends. Users can therefore gain cashback on their shopping and earn commissions as influencers when other users buy their recommended products.
The two countries make up about 80% of the social media users in the Gulf. Asaan wants to tap into this digital social engagement in the region and its growing e-commerce sector. Both countries will see their online sales surge to more than $10 billion in the next few years. This growth has already seen Amazon purchase Souq.com and new entrants like Noon.com launch to compete with established players like Namshi.com and Wadi.com.

Typically, an online buyer will search for a Namshi coupon code or Souq coupon code to save. This creates a value proposition problem for online shopping. Users define their online shopping experience by how much cheaper they bought something on Namshi than say Souq, or the other way around. But this is not how our bazars or souqs traditionally are.
