LOS ANGELES, Jan. 15, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SocialEras, leading direct-to-consumer online platform, announced its plans for expansion today. The 2019 growth strategy includes the addition of new lifestyle categories, the appointment of a company President, and the rollout of collaborative product created with marquee talent.
SocialEras currently manufactures and distributes women's apparel and accessories, and recently added beauty, home and electronics sections. Additional lifestyle categories are also slated for launch in 2019, and within these product verticals the company aims to bring on another twenty direct-to-consumer (DTC) brands by the end of the year. SocialEras received its most recent round of funding last August, with an eight-figure investment from SIG Venture Capitalists, an organization known for its early support of short-form content platforms Musical.ly and TikTok. The capital raised will be used to expand the company's Los Angeles office, create capsule collections with influencers and other DTC brands, and create joint venture (JV) brands with A-list celebrities.
Further, SocialEras has appointed seasoned branded content strategist, Court Petrie, to serve as President. Petrie previously held senior titles at Yahoo! and Maker Studios, where he was instrumental in identifying emerging social media talent to launch original content for global brands from McDonald's to Target. As President of SocialEras, Petrie will be responsible for the company's expansion into new markets, revenue-driving joint ventures to create new brands, strategic partnerships with influencers and celebrities, and go-to-market plans.

This includes implementing a membership rewards program, where shoppers will be able to test new products before they are launched publicly on SocialEras, in exchange for leaving a review online or posting product feedback via Instagram.
As for new collaborations, Petrie noted, "This year we'll also look to align ourselves with top tier talent, to reflect the quality and social relevance of our products." SocialEras' initial projects for 2019 are poised to generate consumer excitement on a global scale. These projects include a JV aimed at manufacturing and distributing a new electronics brand geared towards athletes and people on the move. Petrie is also personally vetting top tier fitness talent for a women's activewear collaboration intended for launch in Q2.
