The company collects the vehicle from the owner's driveway anywhere in the contiguous United States, installs a new 505-horsepower engine and eight-speed transmission at its Florida facility, and returns the truck - typically three weeks from pickup, with round-trip transport included in the price. For a decade the 392 has been gated behind a specific trim of a specific model year. Owners of Wranglers and Gladiators already on the road have had one option: trade in a truck they had already built, wrapped, lifted and lived in, and start over. For the Gladiator in particular, a factory 392 model has never been offered.

Factory Calibration, Not a Custom Tune

What separates the conversion from a conventional V8 swap is the PCM. Rather than writing a bespoke tune, SoFlo flashes each vehicle's powertrain control module to Jeep's own factory 392 calibration, then re-binds the immobilizer, ignition and gateway modules to the vehicle. Speedometer, tachometer, coolant temperature and oil pressure all read correctly afterward, fueling runs OEM closed-loop, and the finished truck remains fully scannable by Chrysler dealers and at emissions testing. The wiring harness is roughly 90 percent plug-and-play, and no splicing is required.

Built New, Not From a Donor

Every conversion uses a new Mopar crate engine. Each package includes a brand-new 6.4L 392 HEMI producing 505 horsepower and 470 lb-ft of torque, a new eight-speed transmission, a 3.5-inch stainless steel exhaust from tip to tail, a new A/C compressor, cold-air intake, exhaust manifold, engine oil cooler and high-flow fuel pump, a new coolant reservoir and full hose routing, a high-output alternator with new belts, and all adapter plates, 392 engine mounts and ECU relocation brackets needed to mate the engine to the chassis.

Parts carry a 24-month, 24,000-mile warranty, and labor is covered for 12 months when SoFlo performs the installation - coverage that is unusual in a category where most swaps are sold as-is.

Pricing and Fitment

Prices include full round-trip shipping and installation for engine swaps within the contiguous United States. The service requires three things from the customer - an address, a VIN and current mileage - and everything after that is handled, including all PCM programming and return delivery.

Owners who would rather use their own shop can buy the kit alone and ship their PCM to SoFlo for factory-specification flashing, returned within ten days for a certified technician to complete the installation.
