Softstar Launches New Primal Shoe
Minimalist footwear with a wildly healthy design

With its innovative, eye-catching sole shape, the Primal works with, instead of against, our natural foot physiology. This anatomically correct sole, modeled after the way our feet are meant to spread as we move, will help anyone maintain or restore natural foot function. The wide toe box allows for healthy toe splay and the flexible materials encourage feet to move freely while building strength and balance.

The Primal features soft, pliable leather uppers that mold to the foot and a flexible, zero-drop Vibram rubber sole. The style comes in three colors: all black, gray with blue details, and maroon with brown and sage green details. For added toe protection, the Primal includes a band across the front of the toe box that's made from upcycled bike inner tubes reclaimed with the help of the Corvallis Bicycle Collective. As with all of Softstar's styles, the Primal is handmade and hand-stitched in the company's Oregon workshop.
